MGS 2017: Washburn's Jonathan Lee & Artist Kirk Lorange

Washburn’s Chief Designer, Jonathan Lee attended the Melbourne Guitar Show last weekend, where he presented a session on America’s guitar making history, along with Washburn artist Kirk Lorange.

An acclaimed Australian slide guitarist, Kirk Lorange has played with some of our greatest artists including Richard Clapton, Marc Hunter, and Marcia Hines, to name a few. He’s also a successful YouTube guitar educator whose channel has accumulated 47,000 subscribers and over 14 million views.

An interview conducted by Greg Phillips of Australian Musician Dan Sultan, discusses the making behind his new album Killer and the meaning behind it. Paul McCartney announces Australian and New Zealand 'One on One' Tour

One of the greatest musicians to ever grace this earth Sir Paul McCartney has now confirmed that he will tour Australia and New Zealand this December. His long list of accolades includes two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, 21-time Grammy Award winner and former member of one of the greatest and highest selling bands of all time, The Beatles.


His songwriting partnership with John Lennon was one to remember, yet his skills further helped him obtain success in his solo career as well as with his band Wings. The One on One tour is one for the ages, a tour he announced on Facebook live, will include shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. McCartney was quoted saying ‘‘we’ve been waiting to get back to Australia and New Zealand for years and now it’s finally happening’’.


With 24 years since he has toured in Australia and New Zealand, the tour is highly awaited and will be a sure-fire success and show to remember, with tickets being available for general public on July 4th. Dates are mentioned below, act fast and don’t miss out!
